Fishing Bio

I grew up with a trout pole in my hand fishing the rivers and streams of Western Massachusetts. Moving to North Carolina in the Fall of 1988 I continued to trout fish the mountain rivers as often as I could. In the spring of 1996 a friend invited me to go bass fishing with him on Lake Wylie. It only took was flying down the lake with the sun cresting the horizon over the bow if his bass boat that first time for me to be hooked. The fact that we caught fish after fish, well he did, only added to my desire form more. He and I fished many times that year and I was eventually talked into joining his fishing club. So in the early spring of 1997 joining the Southfork Bassmasters my bass tournament fishing career began. I went on to win my very first fishing tournament, and also the tournament big fish award at Sharon Harris Lake later that very same year. 

Since that very first win some of my fishing achievements include:

Ø     2014 A.B.A. Weekend Series:

·       1st Place on Lake Norman 3/2014

Ø     2013 B.A.S.S. Weekend Series:

·       North Carolina Division Points Champion

·       1st Place on High Rock Lake 4/2013

·       2nd Place in the NC 2-Day Divisional High Rock Lake 9/2013

·       5 top eight finishes

·       Only angler to weight a 5 fish limit (30 for 30) in every event of 2013

Ø     2012 B.A.S.S. Weekend Series:

·       Tied for North Carolina Division Points Championship

·       2nd Place on Kerr Reservoir 7/2012

·       2nd Place in the NC 2-Day Divisional High Rock Lake 9/2012

·       4 top ten finishes

Ø     2nd Place in the 2012 TBF North Carolina Western Region on Lake Hickory, NC.

Ø     1st Place in the 2011 B.A.S.S. Federation Nation Southern Divisional on Barren River Lake, KY.

Ø     2011 B.A.S.S. Federation Nation National Championship on the Ouachita River in Monroe, LA., Top 15 finish.

Ø     2011 B.A.S.S. Federation Nation North Carolina State Champion.

Ø     2009 TBF Southern Divisional Qualifier on Lake Murray.

Ø     2nd Place in the 2008 B.A.S.S. Federation Nation Southern Divisional on Santee-Copper Lake as a member of the North Carolina State Team.

Ø     2nd Place and Big Fish in the 2006 National Bass “Top Gun” tournament on Hyco Lake, NC.

Ø     10 Bass Club Points Championships: 1999 Southfork Bassmasters Champion, 2000 & 2001 Phillip Morris Bassmasters Champion, 2005, 2006 & 2007 Sports Unlimited Fishing Team Champion and the 2008, 2009, 2010 & 2011 Southfork Bassmasters Points Champion
